immersion and training program that leads to a role within the Inventory
Management function at Old Navy, a division of Gap Inc. brands. Through
this program, Old Navy hires into the positions of Inventory Analyst,
Inventory Allocator and Inventory Planner. In this unique on-boarding
approach, trainees gain real life exposure to the business before taking
ownership over it.All trainees are matched with a coach, buddy and
mentor who will guide their learning journey, which consists of hands-on
learning, classroom instruction, job shadowing, case studies & projects,
as well as homeroom-like sessions. On your first day as a trainee in the
IM Ready program you are provided with full Gap Inc. benefits which

currently available through the IM Ready training program:
Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree required; Major in Business,
Finance, Economics or Mathematics preferred * Analytical Skills: Ability
to think objectively and interpret meaningful themes from quantitative
and qualitative data * Problem Solving & Decision Quality: Able to use
rigorous logic and methods to solve problems with effective solutions *
Collaboration: Able to build constructive and effective relationships
with a broad and diverse group of business partners * Influencing &

- Presentation Skills: Effective in a variety of presentation settings
including one-on-one, small and large groups, and with peers and bosses.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and have aptitude to learn technical

available: Inventory Analyst * Provide data analysis to support
tops/down sales and inventory plans that align with division objectives
- Support style level, bottoms-up sales and inventory plans * Assist in
validating Commercial Plan * Provide data analysis to support business
recaps, in-season forecasting/OTB buying, and demand driven buying
efforts * Execute in-season price strategies (promo/MD) * Own
professional development in collaboration with manager *
Support/participate in a collaborative, innovative and
results-orientated environment * 1-2 work years preferred Inventory
Allocator * Provide data analysis to support tops/down sales and
inventory plans that align with division objectives * Execute plans in
line with style/class level allocation and financial forecasts * Track
inbound inventory levels to ensure smooth execution of strategies *
Identify issues and proactively communicate problems to the broader
cross functional team * Support the commercial plan by ensuring marketed
product is tracked and prioritized through logistics network * Report
out on service levels to cross-functional team * Execute plans to
improve service levels * Recap and optimize sizing and packing
strategies to improve store in-stock and customer experience * Identify
and escalate inventory issues to manager in a prompt manner * Execute
store inventory callouts, DC capacity constraints, or other business
issues in a timely manner * Participate in the development of Seasonal
Inventory allocation strategies that support the Investment review
strategy * Develop flow forecasts that support the financial plans,
receipt projections, and in-season allocation strategies * Identify
styles within Demand Forecast that are below target service levels and
work with Manager to improve * Influence cross functional partners to
drive outcomes * Support/participate in a collaborative, innovative and
results-orientated environment * 1-2 yeas work experience preferred
Inventory Planner * Develops division, department & class level plans
that support market strategy * Develop tops/down dept/class sales and
inventory plans that align with division objectives * Develop
style-level sales and inventory plans * Own bottoms-Up financial
reconciliation to class/department * Inform and validate Commercial Plan
- Own business recaps (week, month, quarterly) to inform short term and
long term financial strategies/action plans * Lead demand driven buying
efforts * Own OTB and sales and inventory forecasting * Recommend and
execute in-season pricing strategies * Inform and influence in-season
commercial plan changes * Identify opportunities for process improvement
- Maintain a collaborative, innovative and results-orientated
environment * Influence cross functional partners to drive outcomes *
2-4 years work experience preferred Allocation Planner * Create seasonal
Inventory allocation strategies that support the Investment review
strategy, develop contingent plans to offset inventory risks * Track and
forecast current/projected inventory levels throughout product pipeline
to ensure smooth execution of strategies * Identify and support
VMI/Basics product plans in line with style/class level allocation and
financial forecasts, partner and negotiate with Inventory Management on
future receipts * Identifies, prioritizes and communicates store
inventory callouts, DC capacity constraints, or other business issues in
a timely manner * Drive additional ad-hoc reporting as needed to assess
business and to assist in driving for solution * Inform the cross
functional team on inventory health that supports the commercial plan *
Frequently assess and recommend strategy adjustments to cross functional
team and leadership * Collaborate with the cross functional team to
align on investment quantities and flow forecasts * Validate department
inventory sales forecast by ensuring stores on hand inventory does not
fall below target; communicate issues to the cross functional teams *
Drive forecast accuracy in Demand Forecast, track receipt projections,
and in-season allocation strategies to maximize opportunities and
mitigate risk. * Create a collaborative, innovative and
