JOB DESCRIPTION

The purpose of this job is to support the trading office by generating, reviewing and sending contracts that confirm sales or purchases of crude oil commodities with third parties and brokers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Generate trade contracts from RightAngle for purchasing and/or sales transactions; review to ensure that contracts contain accurate information
2. Resolve discrepancies and inaccuracies in contracts by communicating with Senior Trade Contracts Analyst or Associated General Counsel
3. Reconcile broker recaps with deal recaps to confirm a match. If incorrect, confirm new broker has been requested.
4. Maintain the accuracy of database information in RightAngle by reviewing broker recaps, third party contracts and contract correspondence for appropriate tagging with deals
5. Adhere to risk control guidelines for trade confirmation process; follow up on contracts that are non-compliant with confirmation timelines
6. Provide assistance with ad hoc projects as assigned by Associate General Counsel
7. Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose;
8. ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
9. Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
10. Complete other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent certificate required
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or related field preferred
• Minimum seven-ten years experience working with oil and gas contracts on a trading floor preferred
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
• Waterborne experience

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills required
• Understanding of contract terminology and energy industry contract administration required
• Experience using RightAngle or other ETRM software preferred
