    JOB DESCRIPTION

    WHAT WILL I BE DOING AS A SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST

    REQUIREMENT ELICITATION

    Work with legal and HR executives and other leaders to elicit expectations and document requirements for new and existing initiatives, identify current state processes, future desired states, and system enhancements needed to support process improvement. Understand how requirements and expectations will be combined to drive work packages and acceptance. This role will be involved at all points of the Project Life Cycle.

    REQUIREMENT ANALYSIS AND STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT

    Review project requirements and develop optimization suggestions to reduce waste, deliver valued increments, and satisfy stakeholder needs. Work with stakeholders to ensure effective communication strategies for project success, and drive engagement from our business partners. Will work with external software vendors and developers to ensure accurate delivery.

    WORK PACKAGE ANALYSIS

    Identify work items required by various teams to deliver requested functionality. Work with the Product Owner and Dev team to be accountable for these becoming actionable user stories with testable acceptance criteria.

    FACILITATION

    Facilitate discovery workshops, requirement sessions, and participate in all scrum ceremonies.

    DOCUMENTATION

    Create process flows to document as-is and to-be states, create requirement traceability documents, and document requirements.

    OWNERSHIP

    Be able to speak to and present the requirements and recommendations for your projects to developers, project managers, stakeholders, and senior leaders as needed. Help ensure your projects are on deadline and on budget. Be accountable to deliver on your Product Owners' visions for their products and projects. You will need to be able to successfully engage with multiple teams and projects concurrently.

    SERVANT LEADER

    Proactively remove obstacles for your stakeholders and increase clarity of their immediate objectives. Build expertise in your designated areas and serve as a trusted advisor for your constituents. Serve as ScrumMaster where needed. Behave as a role model and leader for your teams, and mentor others leveraging your expertise as a Business Analyst.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Required: 5+ years of business analysis, or 3+ years with current CBAP certification, PMP, or PMI-PBA and PMI-ACP certifications. Demonstrated aptitude with various ways of documenting and modeling requirements, and working with stakeholders to elicit requirements. Passion for the profession of business analysis and working with requirements and stakeholders. Scrummaster certification highly preferred, other Agile certifications also of value.
