    Job Description

    Provide technical cutting and stitching expertise on the development of new USA-made products, from Tech Pack to RFC (Ready for Commercialization), transition and guidance through commercialization to RFP (Ready for Production), in line with the RWSC Go to Market (GTM) process.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide cutting and stitching expertise for all domestic Go to Market (GTM) development project pullovers, prototypes, samples, fit/wear/test, grade trials, and sales samples in the PC Hub, and RWSC factories.
    • Collaborate with Product Creation Team on Innovation, Proof of Concept and Advanced projects.
    • Participate in new product meetings, contribute & collaborate on technical requirements, tooling, processes, and machine requirements.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical support, knowledge, expertise, and guidance with products, materials, tooling, machinery, procedures, and processes.
    • Document technical SOP for any required projects as input for product Style Guides.
    • Collaborate with MPI, and Quality, to improve knowledge transfer & best practice methods.
    • Work cross-functionally with Manufacturing on the commercialization of new products, production assistance and training, and transfer programs.
    • Assist with the verification and approval of final production tickets.
    • Visit machinery vendors, trade fairs, and exhibitions, to maintain technical knowledge.
    • Complete other duties as assigned from time to time by your manager

    OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Travel domestically & internationally to other RWSC partner facilities as required or directed.
    • Conduct self according to RWSC policies/Handbook.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE : Associate degree and 7 - 10 years’ related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Strong technical shoemaking skills, attention to detail, and the demonstrated ability to deliver high quality results
    • Strong understanding of shoe construction, material properties, footwear terms and processes
    • Ability to proactively identify potential problems and work with others to develop solutions
    • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to train others and clearly document technical processes in proper format
    • Strong relationship building, collaboration skills, and strategic critical thinking
    • Proficient with technology, including Microsoft Office Suite

    ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

    Bachelor’s degree

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
    • Frequent pinching/gripping/grasping/pulling/clenching
    • Frequent standing
    • Occasional kneeling/climbing
