    Job Description

    The Product Master Data Specialist is responsible for managing and executing item setup processes and product setup strategy within the M3 ERP system for sourced and manufactured footwear, accessories, chemicals, and raw materials. This role ensures that products are accurately configured to be purchased, manufactured, sold, and shipped, supporting cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Finance, Manufacturing, and Retail. The Specialist exercises independent judgement to evaluate requirements, assess risks and downstream impacts, establish and maintain data standards, and champions innovation and continuous improvement efforts to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability across product data processes.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Own and execute the M3 product setup framework for various product categories including:
      • Sourced and manufactured footwear
      • Accessories (RW, HG, PPE)
      • Raw materials (leather, chemicals, tool crib items)
      • Advertising and retail items
    • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in product data setup processes, including:
      • Identifying inefficiencies and proposing automation or simplification opportunities
      • Standardizing documentation and operational workflows
      • Leveraging stakeholder feedback and analytics to refine workflows and reduce errors
    • Develop, implement, and maintain standards for product data, including updating UPC codes and purchase agreements.
    • Interpret and implement complex requirements across Engineering, Finance and Supply chain for Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), ensuring accurate pricing and product data.
    • Manage warehouse setup and item type creation for lifecycle tracking, reporting, standards, and operational readiness.
    • Diagnose root causes and determine corrective actions for setup issues, and escalating to BT, Finance, or Supply Chain when necessary.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and process alignment, leading cross-functional initiatives to redesign and optimize product setup processes where needed.

    MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • 3–5 years of experience in product setup, ERP data management, supply chain operations, or related. Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    • Experience working with M3 or similar ERP systems.
    • Exposure to manufacturing and retail environments.
    • Background in marketing, product launch, or go-to-market coordination is a plus.
    • Demonstrated success in process improvement or automation initiatives.
    • Experience with cross-functional collaboration across business units.

    PREFERRED :

    • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for data accuracy.
    • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to manage time-sensitive tasks and prioritize effectively.
    • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
    • Passion for process improvement and innovation.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
    • Ability to use hands and fingers to operate a keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment
    • Ability to lift up to 10-20 pounds occasionally
    • Visual acuity required for reviewing detailed data on screens and documents
    • Ability to communicate clearly in person, virtually, and via phone or email
    • Ability to remain focused and perform repetetive or detailed tasks with accuracy
