    Job Description

    Red Wing Shoe Company is excited to announce our 2023 Internship Program! The program is designed to offer you meaningful work that will prepare you for your career. You’ll get to see first-hand how our corporate teams develop strategies and practices that support our retail and manufacturing partners, and customers worldwide.

    This position will offer a hybrid work structure. You will need to live within a commutable distance to Red Wing, MN as you’ll be working on site 1-2 days per week. Standard work hours for this position are Monday-Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm; Friday 8:00am-1:00pm.

    Compensation is $20/hour.

    WHAT TO EXPECT AS A MARKETING INTERN:

    What you will do:

    • Play a key role in the creation and distribution of content
    • Support digital channel teams in content production resizing images, making GIFs and reviewing content plans across brands
    • Build out The Crew (Red Wing Shoe Company’s brand ambassador program), including working with product / wear testing program to get boots on the right people prior to launch
    • Capture TikTok content throughout the summer, collaborate with manufacturing experts and provide storyboards to video editor from concept to execution
    • Conduct a Competitive Research Report on what others are doing in the industry and how we can learn

    What you will gain:

    • Understanding of art direction brand guidelines for photography and access outstanding photo assets to route through approval process for our marketing asset platform, Widen.
    • Understand content management when it comes to photography rights, user agreements and permissions on digital assets
    • Project management experience, owning a project and driving execution
    • Attention to detail in understanding social permissions, meta tags and routing content for approval
    • Cross-functional collaboration experience, working with teams to help support marketing activities
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    We’re looking for students who meet the following requirements:

    • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
    • Enrolling as a Junior or Senior in the 2023-2024 academic year
    • Digitally-savvy, with an appreciation and understanding of social media, web, etc.
    • Attention to detail, execution and delivery according to aligned schedules
    • Interest and intrigue around brands, consumers, marketing, etc.
