    Job Description

    Red Wing Shoe Company is excited to announce our 2023 Internship Program! The program is designed to offer you meaningful work that will prepare you for your career. You’ll get to see first-hand how our corporate teams develop strategies and practices that support our retail and manufacturing partners, and customers worldwide.

    This position will offer a hybrid work structure. You will need to live within a commutable distance to Red Wing, MN as you’ll be working on site 1-2 days per week. Standard work hours for this position are Monday-Thursday 8am-4:30pm, Friday 8am-1pm.

    Compensation is $20/hour.

    WHAT TO EXPECT AS AN HR OPERATIONS INTERN:

     What you will do:

    • Own a key project focused on our Employee Experience Platform initiative. This project will give line of sight to, and experience interacting with, all areas of HR as well as our cross functional partners.
    • Help create and build out processes and workflows that enable our technology to provide a seamless employee experience
    • Help create dashboards for both HR and managers that provide key insights
    • Work cross functionally to create knowledge base articles that employees can access via self-service features
    • Act as a People Advisor to answer questions from employees that our knowledge articles can't provide

    What you will gain:

    • Understanding the possibilities for how HR can operate in order to create a seamless employee experience, and the challenges that go with it
    • Ability to work cross functionally to achieve a goal
    • Project management skills including working against deadlines, properly sizing the work that needs to be done, and identifying resources needed to accomplish various tasks

    Qualifications

    We’re looking for students who meet the following requirements:

    • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field
    • Enrolling as a Sophomore or Junior in the 2023-2024 academic year
    • Experience and comfort working with software platforms
