The Role: Were looking for a highly motivated intern to join a focused team that will imagine and prototype innovative concepts and products. In this role, you will be responsible for designing highly usable interfaces, authoring tools and interaction designs. You will participate in all steps of the design process from conceptualization, visual design, interaction design, through prototyping. You will also provide user research support. What You Will Own: Create holistic design solutions that address product and user requirements. Effectively communicate conceptual ideas, design rationale and the specifics of your user centered design process. Work with developers designers and engineers to deliver the final prototypes. Our Ideal Candidate Has: Currently pursuing a BA, BFA, HCI, or other design-related degree Be legally allowed to work in the US (US citizen, green card, or F1 student visa holder) Have the ability to intern in San Mateo, California Have the ability to work 40 hours per week Have an online portfolio Experience in sketching, wire framing, task flows, interaction design and user research. Visual Design skills. Interaction Prototyping skills. Some experience with Unity real-time game engine a plus. Proficient in Sketch, Invision, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign Willingness to help out in all phases of the research and design process. Ability to prioritize and manage scope of work to adhere to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment, Have a solid understanding of user-centered interaction design principles, careful attention to detail, as well as ability to design for multiple product requirements. Must have a basic grasp of interaction design principles and good understanding of current immersive technologies.
