JOB DESCRIPTION
This individual will be part of the Systems Engineering group responsible for solutions design across the systems stack portfolio. The primary focus will surround the design, development, and implementation of systems stack solutions, including, but not limited to Storage, Compute, Kubernetes, & Cloud platforms.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
3+ years of application management/orchestration within a Kubernetes environment
3+ years of Linux administration, including RedHat variants and/or SUSE
Scripting (Terraform, Puppet, Ansible, Bash, Javascript, & Powershell preferred)
Understanding of Splunk & Dynatrace usage & operations in a Kubernetes environment
Understanding of configuration automation using Puppet (or similar) management tools
Understanding of Linux best practices for secure builds in a large enterprise
Knowledge of Linux security practices and how to implement systems without creating vulnerabilities (privileged escalation or other kinds) to internal or external users
Understanding of software and services lifecycle management and change processes
Must be a highly motivated self-starter capable of simultaneously prioritizing, and managing a variety of complex project tasks in a fast-paced environment
Must have experience working within an agile/scrum delivery framework
Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Must possess strong organization skills, including a keen attention to detail
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING?
Bachelor’s Degree or related experience
Stack/Platform automation design, development, and implementation
Provide administration/support for OpenShift/Kubernetes
Provide Podman runtime support for application teams
Provide administration/support for Puppet Enterprise platform
Contribute to Puppet module design surrounding the build automation of Linux & Windows systems
Work closely with cross functional engineering groups on continued automation initiatives
Plan, document, & execute complex multi-step changes
Actively engage vendors to assist in problem resolution
Work with Information Security to maintain PCI and SOX requirements
Be available for rotating 24/7 on-call support
OTHER DESIRED SKILLS
Experience with log aggregation and APM tooling
Experience with Helm deployments & container development
Experience with GIT (or similar) version control systems
Experience with CI/CD pipeline tooling
Experience with Terraform Cloud workspaces
Experience with Azure AKS & IaaS deployments
Experience with VMware virtualization technologies
Experience with vRealize Automation suite
Basic understanding of networking concepts
Basic understanding of storage concepts
Basic understanding of information security concepts
