The Salesforce Administrator position is responsible for the configuration, and implementation of Salesforce.com (SFDC) applications that support the company business strategies and objectives. This role provides technical consulting to management, business users, and technical associates. Essential Functions ** ** Strategy & Planning * Acquire and interpret business requirements, creates a functional specification, provide accurate estimates, and meet deadlines on deliverables. * Work closely with business leadership, business analysts, developers, architects, and other key stakeholders in the design, configuration & build of the SFDC instance. Acquisition & Deployment * Perform analysis of business models, logical specifications, and/or customer requirements to design and build Salesforce solutions. * Provide generalized production technical support. * Mitigate risks associated with projects Operational Management * Design and maintain complex user roles, security, profiles, and workflows rules. * Ensure data integrity through the appropriate use of loading tools for bulk imports of data. * Assist users with report, query and dashboard creation. * Manage and maintain reports, dashboards, and email templates. * Maintain and support custom objects, fields, and applications. * Assist the team in translating requirements into Salesforce configuration, identifying where custom development/integration may need to occur. * Partner with business analysts, developers, and application super users to successfully complete projects. ## Incidental Functions * Knowledge share with development teams. * Provide guidance to developers and/or Professional Apprentices on SFDC best practices. * Make presentations to management, clients, and peer groups as requested. * Provide tier 2, on-call support for critical web application problems and issues. * Minimal travel is required. * Work outside the standard office 7.5 hour workday may be required. Position Requirements Formal Education & Certification * Bachelor Degree or foreign equivalent in related field or equivalent experience. * Salesforce Administrator Certification, preferred. Knowledge & Experience * 2+ years of IT experience. * 1+ years of experience implementing, configuring or administering Salesforce.com * 1+ years designing and maintaining complex user roles, security, profiles, and workflows rules. * 1+ years using data loading tools. * 1+ years creating reports and dashboards. * 1+ years experience verification of SFDC upgrades. * Knowledge and understanding of the Salesforce.com platform, eco-system and best practices * Ability to coordinate with internal developers and SFDC professional services to provide solution suggestions and constructive feedback * Experience documenting and analyzing processes, procedures, and/or policies * Proven ability to understand business needs and translate them not only into processes that scale but also quickly deploy them in salesforce.com Personal Attributes * Strong written and oral communication skills.
