Position Summary: Sony Corporation of America(SCA) is seeking anIntern,Information Securityto join the SCA Information Security Division. This position will report to the Information Security Program Manager and be a part of the team responsible for securing Sonys information assets, services, and the products that depend on them, thus, building trust with customers, stakeholders and protecting the privacy of Sonys customers. Job Responsibilities: -Support maintenance of global information security policies and standards that align with business needs, best practices and industry standards -Document policies, standards, guidelines, processes and procedures with flowcharts, swim lanes, and decision trees to enhance governance around the SCA Information Security Program -Support the socialization of information security training and awareness activities for SCA employees by working closely with SCA Legal & Privacy, Human Resources, Accounting, and Communication teams. -Monitor and report on the status for off-boarding SCA users upon notification by Human Resources and Information Technology department -Conduct research and offer ideas for enhancing current SCA information security posture, including but not limited to reading whitepapers and latest articles on cyber security -Administrative responsibilities will include, but not limited to providing logistical coordination on behalf of Senior Management and working with accounting systems for budget and expense management -Special ad-hoc projects assigned upon demonstrating successful mastery of core responsibilities Job Qualifications: -Working towards a Bachelors degree or higher with a focus of Computer Science, Information/Cyber Security, Information Assurance, Management Information Systems, and/or a related field -Must be in Junior or Senior year of the academic program; -Double major or Dual Program (Masters/Undergraduate) is a plus; -Credits toward degree Optional; Manager discretion -Strong academic track record -Minimum Cumulative GPA 3.0 or higher; -Deans list track record is a plus -Extracurricular activities is a plus -Strong writing, verbal, and presenting skills; in-person & over conference calls -Previous experience working in mid-to-large corporate environment desired -Prior information/cyber security field exposure is a plus -Excellent interpersonal skills is a must -Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) & Skype for Business -Experience with Microsoft Visio is a plus -Available at least 25 hours per week -All candidates must be authorized to work in the USA Sony is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
