Brand Marketing is responsible for developing the positioning and product lifecycle strategy, ensuring that all of the marketing functional teams (digital, media, creative, publicity, promotions, and content creation) adhere to the brand strategy.nbsp;Brand also partners with the Commercial team to create a cohesive go to market plan. RESPONSIBILITIES: The marketing/ PR intern will learn broad strategies of brand marketing and how social media and promotions play an intricate part of consumer campaigns. They will gain hands on experience in how to build and contribute to marketing and promotional campaigns. In addition they will learn about the commercial side of home entertainment and about the collaboration between brand marketing and commercial to bring a release to market.nbsp; The intern will get a varied set of projects in Brand Marketing, both New Release, Direct to Video, and Catalog.nbsp;The projects may be a collaborative initiative among multiple disciplines within SPHE, with an emphasis in marketing but exposure to other groups. For example, projects may involve one or more of the following but not limited to: · Competitive Analysis of studios key marketing campaigns present best practices, recommendations and learnings · Shadow Brand lead throughout a titles go to market planning process, with contributions and input - from script, to developing and communicating marketing strategy, managing Pamp;L, to collaborating with commercial to bring the release to market Day to day activities may include: · Drafting creative briefs for on and offline creative elements (trailers, digital creative, key art) · Reviewing and sharing feedback on offline and digital creative · Reading scripts and participating in brainstorm sessions in order to inform campaign brand and publicity strategies · Attend vendor presentations · Assist with summarizing and editorializing marketing weekly activities to inform other departments · Help create sales pitch materials · Support PR team with event planning and coverage QUALIFICATIONS: * Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university for the duration of the internship and able to work part timenbsp; * Able to meet specific deadlines while balancing multiple projects at once * Strong project management skills, with great attention to detail * Proficient in PowerPoint and Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel * Excellent written and communication skills a must * Interest in entertainment marketing, television, and movies * Highly motivated self-starter and a team player SPE INTERN PROGRAM DETAILS: The Sony Pictures Entertainment Internship program offers a unique opportunity to work alongside the teams that come together to create movies, TV shows, and other great experiences.
