Responsibilities: SIEA Developer Technology group is looking for an intern to assist the team in research and development of a number of projects to push the boundaries of PS4 systems and diagnostic tools. As an intern, you will be in charge of programming modules, tools or functions that are directly related to a project that will help your team or others at Sony. What you'll gain from the internship: Hands on experience with the PS4 or PlayStation VR development systems You will be programming, debugging and performing diagnostics on Windows and PS4 Develop organization, time management and prioritization skills during the software development cycle How to integrate into a team in a dynamic environment writing performance oriented code Qualifications: Required Skills: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program; CS majors highly preferred 2+ years of experience in C#, C++ or similar Object-Oriented programming language Strong understanding of object oriented design and development techniques Strong written and verbal communication skills Good foundation of multi-threaded paradigms, programming and techniques Good foundation with file systems and memory management Knowledge of and/or experience with Visual Studio, Source Control, debugging techniques Desire to learn and know the inner-workings of game engines and foundational technology Preferred Skills: Working with web technologies (like JavaScript, HTML5/CSS3) Familiarity with scripting and/or automation Familiarity with computer graphics and linear algebra Familiarity with audio/video streaming technologies Experience programming in Windows Strong desire to learn new technologies Sony is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
