    • Drive standardization and build automation in support of Release Engineering, Technical Site Operations, Infrastructure Management, and SRE.

    • Mentor and train Junior SRE engineers.  Drive complex initiatives through roadblocks to completion.  Collaborate with Development and Infrastructure partners to build resilient systems and repeatable processes.

    • Influence and create new designs, architectures, standards, and methods for the performance and reliability of large-scale systems:  web, mobile, native apps.

    • Troubleshoot issues across the entire stack:  hardware, software, application, network, database.

    • Represent the Platform Engineering team in project planning, design reviews, and operational readiness exercises.

    • Document system design and procedures.

    • Function well in a fast-paced, collaborative, and rapidly changing environment.

    • Participate in on-call rotation.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING?

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience, ideally for internet facing applications

    • Very strong scripting skills, proven experience automating technical and release operations

    • Demonstrated programming skills in multiple languages

    • Experience in Configuration and Environment Management, automation, and related tools and technologies (Terraform, Puppet, Ansible), building Continuous Delivery platforms

    • Self-motivated team player, ability to perform at a high level with minimal direction

    • Strong interpersonal communication skills, ability to work well in a diverse, team-focused environment with other SREs, Engineers, Product Managers, QA Engineers, and Developers

    • Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with a strong sense of ownership and drive

    • Strong interest in UNIX/Linux systems administration
