Staff Engineer, Front End Architecture- React.js (Remote)
COMPANY DESCRIPTION
At Abercrombie & Fitch the Front End Architect is a member of the Digital Platform Engineering team. This team is an enablement team responsible for reducing time to market, increasing developer efficiency, and improving code quality and site performance. The primary goal of this position is to lead the transformation ecommerce storefront to modern technologies.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
Define future architecture and the path to get there.
This architect must meet two goals:
Evolve and transition existing storefront
Create architecture that enables to build/deploy independently
Assist in the adoption of modern technologies, tooling, and practices by educating and guiding product teams using: ReactJS, NodeJS, micro frontends, backend-for-frontend, etc.
Maintain product roadmap, release schedules and architectural standards that ensure alignment with business objectives.
Work collaboratively with product, marketing, and engineering teams in understanding requirements and ensuring solutions align with architectural standards.
Be the champion for site security, accessibility and performance.
WHAT WILL YOU NEED TO BRING?
5+ years of proven experience developing front-end web technologies.
2+ years experience in technical leadership of front-end development.
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related field.
Expert level ReactJS experience.
Experience in large-scale product architecture design for ecommerce.
Good understanding of web architecture and current frontend advanced technology.
Ability to account for the big picture and long-term impacts of solution designs.
Ability to lead technical discussions and build consensus.
Great to have full-stack development experience.
