At Stitch Fix , we are hiring BI Engineers, Data Engineers, and Business Analysts to build our BI platforms of the future. As our business continues to grow in size and complexity, we are looking for a dynamic, organized, and customer-focused data analytics leader who is interested in shaping our long term Business Intelligence, data architecture, and data analytics roadmap.

    ABOUT THE ROLE As a BI Solutions Architect, you will provide proactive, deep insights into the KPIs and metrics driving the Finance, Engineering and IT business partners on a daily/weekly/monthly cadence. The right candidate will be passionate about working with huge datasets and should be someone who loves to bring data together to answer complex business questions that deepen our understanding of our business drivers, especially revenue and customers. Over time, you will support the development of reporting models and work closely with our engineering teams to implement solutions designed to improve our forecasting and planning processes - eliminating manual effort in developing bottoms up forecasting.

    This role requires an individual with excellent team leadership skills, who can influence the architectural direction of the platform while working cross-functionally with  Stitch Fix  Product Management teams, Data/BI Engineering, Finance, Accounting and P&C teams to drive business outcomes. The role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, a keen attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, a strong understanding of finance, independence and entrepreneurial ability to work with minimal direction and rapid prototyping.

    • develop & influence a long term BI strategy/analytics/tools roadmap and self-service reporting capabilities, and drive the implementation end-to-end.
    • create and deliver metrics, reporting platforms and analytical models critical for tracking and managing the business. This will include daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly revenue, inventory, procurement, receiving and financial reporting and planning 
    • work with finance and cross-functional business leaders to build scalable processes and metrics.
    • use analytics to explain business drivers all the way up to the senior leadership.
    • build a solid data infrastructure, underpinning enterprise scale BI analytics and reporting platforms. 
    • architect solutions that are SOX compliant and can scale with a growing business.

     

    WE'RE EXCITED ABOUT YOU BECAUSE…

    • you have at least a bachelor's degree in math, computer science, engineering, finance, statistics, or a related technical field 
    • you have outstanding analytical modeling skills 
    • you think big, understand business strategy, provide consultative business analysis, and leverage technical skills to create insightful, effective BI solutions
    • you have 10+ years of professional experience and a passion for working with large data sets plus deep experience in statistical analysis, advanced modeling techniques, data mining and business analysis
    • you have project management experience and ability to drive successful end-to-end project execution
    • you have ability to thrive in an environment that is tasked with providing data-driven decision support and business intelligence that is timely, accurate and actionable
    • you have hands on experience in SQL, Excel, data mining, and data visualization software such as Looker, Incorta or Tableau
    • you have experience with revenue analysis and experience working with finance teams
    • you have hands on experience with Redshift, Talend , R and/or Python (data extraction, manipulation, and  analysis platforms)
    • you have a proven track record of strong communication & data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate and influence both business and technical teams
