    Job Description

About the Team The most successful companies have brilliant storytellers who put their products, their people and why they matter at the heart of every communication.

Reporting to the Corporate PR Director you will join a (growing) 15+ strong team of ambitious communications professionals who are passionate about telling the Stitch Fix story internally, externally, and through social and influencer communications. Our goal is to engage, educate and inspire all of our audiences around Stitch Fix's vision for a future of retail that is more personal.

Externally facing teams drive the delivery of our communications strategy and narratives through media relationships, at events and on our owned channels, while aligning with partners in strategy, investor relations, marketing, merchandising, product, algorithms and engineering to share the depth and breadth of stories which make Stitch Fix unique. Internally, we work across the business to create effective, authentic and relevant communications that support our employees and bring our culture to life.

About the Role As a Corporate PR Manager on the corporate communications team, you will be responsible for creating and supporting Stitch Fix's external corporate communications efforts. In partnership with the PR Director, you will set communications strategies that align with business goals  and work with our agency partners to drive execution that has measured impact. You will use your excellent media relationships and writing skills to help tell the story of Stitch Fix, from our latest business innovations to our unique workplace and culture,  and through business milestones (including financial results).

Importantly, you will help to define what the Stitch Fix Communications Team is known for; and you will be part of creating a high-performing team that empowers, supports and develops each other.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will…

    • BUILD AND MAINTAIN MEDIA RELATIONSHIPS - you will bring your excellent media relationships to Stitch Fix and, in partnership with the Director and relevant partners on the communications team, you will build, maintain, and enhance Stitch Fix's direct relationships with media across corporate, retail and financial press.
    • DRIVE OUR EXTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS STRATEGY - you will work directly with co-workers in the communications team and cross-functional partners to gather insights and understand business priorities to develop compelling storytelling angles for an "always-on" approach to our communications.
    • WORK TO ELEVATE KEY BUSINESS MILESTONES - you will ideate, help set the strategy for, and drive the execution for business innovation (e.g. new product launches), company initiatives (e.g. notable new people policies) and regular company milestones (e.g. quarterly financial results). You'll be responsible for coordinating and creating content, briefing books, and media materials, and handling targeted media outreach.
    • PROTECT OUR COMPANY REPUTATION - work with the Director in planning for, monitoring, managing and responding to incoming media enquiries, including around issues management
    • INPUT INTO  THE STRATEGY AND DEVELOPMENT OF CONTENT FOR STITCH FIX'S OWNED CHANNELS - deliver strategic content recommendations and support (and in some cases drive) the development of content across our company blog, newsroom and LinkedIn.
    • OVERSEE DELIVERY OF RESULTS TO INTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS - own the internal merchandising of the impact of our work to cross-functional partners, MGMT leadership and BOD.

    We're excited about you because…

    • YOU HAVE A BREADTH OF EXPERIENCE - you have 5-7+ years of experience in communications, ideally in corporate, retail or financial communications with a focus on media relations.
    • YOU'RE A STRATEGIC THINKER - you're able to balance strategic purpose with smart, impactful and creative execution. You possess a keen sense of what needs to happen and the proactive nature and resourcefulness to do it - from strategy and prioritization, to multitasking and superior attention-to-detail, all with a results-driven mindset.
    • YOU'RE AN OUTSTANDING STORYTELLER - you have a strong ability to identify unique angles that are both compelling to media and to our range of business stakeholders - and have a natural ability to write in a clear and compelling way. You are an excellent writer and use your strong all-round communication skills across internal and external audiences. You also understand the importance of a strong narrative that is consistent across channels.
    • YOU ARE AN INCREDIBLE NETWORKER AND ARE A MASTER OF MEDIA RELATIONS - you have a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships across the media landscape, ideally with business, retail and financial reporters. You can leverage those relationships to foster connections, gain insight and ultimately deliver compelling communications for Stitch Fix.
    • YOU CAN COLLABORATE ACROSS TEAMS - you demonstrate strong team work and have empathy for co-workers, value input, and are comfortable working through ambiguity to make progress.
    • YOU ARE A SELF-STARTER - you're used to working in a fast-paced environment and possess a keen sense of what needs to happen and the energy to do it - from strategy and prioritization, to attention to detail and results-driven mindset. In short, you get things done.
    • YOU ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT WHAT YOU DO - you're curious to learn, your value a feedback-oriented culture, and you are excited about what you could make possible at Stitch Fix.
