ABOUT THE TEAM

The Experimentation Platform team is a small group of engineers building the systems required to run A/B tests and other types of experiments at scale across the business. We design, build, and maintain the platform that handles the entire experiment lifecycle, from metadata management to randomization to analytics/inference. We operate on a self-service basis - we as a team focus on broad experimental capabilities rather than individual experiments. Our goal is to de-risk company-wide innovation by supporting rigorous experimentation wherever possible. As a member of the team, you will contribute to the design and evolution of the platform, and will be instrumental in ensuring our systems scale and transform with the needs of the business. 

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an independent contributor, you will be involved in the full lifecycle of the experimentation platform, from designing and building to maintenance and evolution. We operate in a microservices environment, using mostly golang, python, and spark/scala. Our customers span the business and include data scientists, PMs, software engineers, and executives. However, it is our responsibility to determine how to best support our customers - we set our own roadmap.

As a team, we work together to prioritize features and directions, but you will have substantial leeway and responsibility for deliverables, and you will be largely self-directed in determining what you work on. This is not a role where your day-to-day is determined by a PM or a ticket - success on the team includes figuring out what comes next. 

IN THIS ROLE YOU CAN EXPECT TO:

• Build and own large aspects to the experimentation platform, with a focus on scalable, resilient infrastructure
• Help us curate a consistent set of interfaces
• Be involved in the day-to-day operations of the team, including maintaining and improving our current platform and supporting full-stack data scientists
• Work with business partners to identify new opportunities for experimentation support
