  • Responsibilities

    The Store Operations Executive Training Program is a development program geared toward those individuals that see themselves as a future General Manager of a department store.  The program is a series of progressive rotations designed to provide you exposure to all functional business areas of a store.

    You will learn to analyze business trends, apply leadership principles in order to lead high performing teams.

    You will learn fundamental principles of merchandise planning, assortment, visual presentation and brand stewardship to ensure your store is most profitable.

    Responsibilities: 

    • Develop short and long term action plans that address opportunities and positively impact the business 

    • Build and execute development plans to drive optimal performance for all direct reports 

    • Execute all responsibilities in order to optimize the customer’s experience in store 

    • Review, understand and take action regarding sales and productivity results on a weekly and monthly basis 

    • Generate in-store excitement through distinctive branding, merchandising and visual standards 

    • Work with key business partners to develop a  greater understanding of store operations 

    • Participate in sales and customer service events

  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university, preferably in Business Management  with a competitive average 

    • Must be a 4th year student at the time of application in a 4 year Bachelor’s Degree Program and available to work full-time in 2017

    • Must have retail experience or experience in a related field 

    • Management experience preferred  

    • Strong  leadership abilities, including professional business ethics, assertiveness and self-motivation 

    • Excellent written and oral communication skills 

    • Strong analytical and innovative mindset 

    • Highly flexible and adaptable in a fast paced, hands-on environment 

    • Ability to work store retail hours 

    • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks to achieve productivity and business goals 

    • Flexibility to relocate upon successful completion of the program and subsequent store placement
