  • Responsibilities

    The Application Engineer will provide technical sales support by promoting the Chromalox brand, providing application and design assistance, quoting thermal solutions, facilitating order and communication flow, and managing projects.

    Required Skills

    • Coordinates quotation and order entry activities with sales force, engineering, and plant including samples and drawings for approval.
    • Understand markets and competition in each market to manage quotation of competitive designs.
    • Assist Field Sales Engineers by providing expertise to offer optimal thermal solution for unique process applications.
    • Determines requirement for materials and related cost for product designs by working with engineering and purchasing departments.
    • Manage pricing and margin targets for key accounts and new opportunities.
    • Develop design framework and detailed proposals for standard and custom thermal solutions.
    • Become proficient in using product configurators, help troubleshoot issues and suggest improvements.
    • Assist Sales and Marketing in developing short and long-range strategies for increasing sales, providing better customer service and promoting Chromalox brand awareness.
    • Assist Sales in meeting profitable sales and growth objectives.
    • Assist customers and representatives in trouble-shooting problems with equipment or applications.
    • Assist Sales by making joint sales calls with local office to promote products and secure key projects.
    • Provide quoting and product training as needed to others in the organization.
    • Assist in documenting, analyzing and improving processes.
    • Support or facilitate process improvement projects and Strategic projects as required.
    • Position may require occasional travel to plants or customer locations
    • Strong collaboration, communication and customer service skills required

    Required Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, appropriate technical degree or equivalent experience required
    • 1-3 years experience preferred
