Human Resources Benefits Intern to join its team based in New York City!
The HR benefits intern will gain experience from both full-time
employees and the internship program. GIII Apparel Group is a leading
manufacturer and distributor of apparel and accessories under licensed
brands, owned brands and private label brands with an entrepreneurial
culture that flows throughout the comprehensive portfolio of over 30
licensed and proprietary brands, including Andrew Marc, Calvin Klein,
Donna Karan, Kenneth Cole, Cole Haan, Guess?, Tommy Hilfiger, Karl
Lagerfeld, Levi's, Dockers, Jessica Simpson, Vince Camuto, Ellen Tracy,
Kensie, Ivanka Trump, and G.H. Bass, among others. GIII also has
licenses with the four major professional sports leagues, as well as
over 100 U.S. colleges and universities. In addition, G-III currently
designs, manufactures and markets an extensive range of apparel,
including outerwear, dresses, sportswear, beachwear, women's suits and
women's performance wear, as well as luggage and women's handbags, small
leather goods and various accessories. Key Responsibilities + Provide
reporting and analysis supporting benefits enrollment and participation.
- Understand the concept of Employee benefits and have a solid grasp of
the various roles necessary to support Senior Benefits and Compensation
Manager and Benefits Analyst. + Learn how to respond to client service
needs through detailed investigation and timely customer interaction. +
Understand reporting needs. + Assist supervisors with timely and quality
handling of new enrollees and benefits inquires. + Analyze and research
service issues pertaining to coverages, billing inquires, or other
customer requests. + Assist with special project as assigned. Benefits
and Compensation + Assist in the creation of wellness initiatives. +
Assist with compensation and benefits related invoices. + Coordinate
meetings and materials for new hire enrollments. + Update benefits
communications. + Develop and document procedures to streamline
processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. + Assist
with efforts to increase 401(K) participation and awareness and benefits
updates. + Support senior manager in creation of success profiles,
market pricing, and the development of salary range. + Pursuing a BS/BA
Degree. + Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. +
Excellent written and oral communication skills. + Highly organized,
motivated and intellectually curious. + Great follow-up skills. + Strong
interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources. Advertised Job Title:
