Reporting to the LOAA Supervisor, the primary responsibility of this role is to manage the leave of absence (STD, LOA, FMLA, Workers Comp, etc.) and accommodation processes in partnership with TFS leave of absence third party providers (where applicable). Cases will be analyzed by the LOAA Specialist on an individualized, case-by-case basis to ensure compliance with state and federal laws. **What youll be doing ** * Exercise discretionary judgement and critical assessment skills when analyzing cases on an individualized, case-by-case basis, (especially when situations have overlapping and conflicting laws which are unsettled at times) to make case outcome recommendations to the business, LOAA Supervisor, HRG/HRCs, and/or inside and outside legal counsel. * Identify and develop innovative suggestions to improve efficiency, effectiveness, internal controls, and/or customer service in the LOAA process. * Demonstrate knowledge and awareness of compliance policies, procedures and regulations affecting day to day LOAA responsibilities. Develop LOAA SOPs and ensure active SOPs remain up-to-date. * Ensure administration of leave by vendors is done properly and timely in accordance with pre-determined service levels. * Serve as subject matter expert on TFS Leave of Absence and ADA policies and mentor and provide day-to-day support to the LOAA Contingent(s). **What you bring ** * 3+ years of experience managing STD/LTD, FMLA/CFRA, ADA, Workers Compensation in a high-volume environment preferred. * Demonstrated skills required in the areas of negotiation, problem solving, and conflict resolution. * Proven professional level communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with all levels of team members. * Must possess a strong preference for automating processes over manual solutions. * Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment with minimal supervision. * Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, Psychology or a related discipline preferred; paid professional-level work experience equivalent to a BS degree required. **** What well bring **** During your interview process, our team can fill you in on all the details of our industry-leading benefits and career development opportunities.
