Job Description

The Used Car Buyer Assistant will have a primary responsibility of executing a process which involves prospecting, appraising, and presenting offers to current vehicle owners with the goal of purchasing their vehicles from multiple sources for resale.

** The Used Car Buyer Assistant will focus mainly on making appointments and exceptional guest relationships. There is room for career growth in this role.**

** Duties and Responsibilities:**

• Responsible for calling, following up and scheduling appointments for customers to come in and appraise and purchase their used vehicles.
• Utilize CRM for prospecting and lead generation.
• Interface with current used vehicle owners from appointments set and dealership service drive with the purpose of purchasing their vehicle.
• Approach, greet, and engage with dealership customers to appraise and offer to purchase their current vehicles.
• Appraise used vehicles by asking questions, taking pictures of the vehicles, and inputting vehicle data into Sonic's automated inventory management system.
• Work with Sales Managers to build and propose an offer to seller.
• Introduces guest to sales department personnel to sell them a new vehicle after purchase of their existing vehicle.
• Review monthly goals with management on vehicles purchased to better utilize time and plans more effectively.

Qualifications

Preferred:

• Demonstrated success in telemarketing, appointment setting, or sales roles, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• Strong ability to engage with customers effectively, build rapport, and address their needs and concerns professionally.
• Excellent verbal communication skills with a persuasive and articulate demeanor over the phone.
• Ability to handle rejection positively and persistently pursue leads, maintaining a positive attitude throughout.
• Comfortable using CRM software, productivity tools, and other technology platforms to manage leads and track progress.

Required:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must be authorized to work in the USA.
• Must be willing to undergo pre-employment compliance requirements: Drug testing, background check, MVR.

Additional Information

(The Used Car Buyer Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation, plus commission. The position also may also pay a production bonus based on individual or team performance that may range from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit.

Schedule:

• FULL TIME
• Weekend availability required
