Social Responsibility and Sustainability Intern: Become the Newest Member of the Vans Familynbsp; As Social Responsibility and Sustainability Intern, you will have the opportunity to create a plan for recycling and repurposing Vans in store displays and visual merchandise. You will utilize your love of Vans and experience in the retail space to impact our sustainability mission. You will partner closely with our retail operations team, store associates, and visual merchandisers. This project will influence the business beyond the summer and you will leave your mark on creating a more environmentally friendly family.nbsp; How You Will Make a Difference:nbsp; nbsp;nbsp; nbsp;Research best practices within: VF, the apparel and footwear industry and beyond nbsp;nbsp; nbsp;Benchmark what we do now vs. competitive set nbsp;nbsp; nbsp;Conduct internal stakeholder research with: environmental design, retail operations, and finance to understand challenges and opportunities nbsp;nbsp; nbsp;Develop KPIs and a tracking system to be used by environmental design nbsp;nbsp; nbsp;Create a plan for recycling seasonal POP, banners and other items from store refreshesnbsp; nbsp;nbsp; nbsp;Create communication on the plan for stakeholders within the business Skills for Success: Educational/ Position Requirements: Years of Related Professional Experience: 0-1 yearnbsp; nbsp;nbsp; nbsp;One previous internship experience desired. nbsp; nbsp;nbsp; nbsp;Currently enrolled full time or graduated within one year from an accredited education institution. nbsp;nbsp; nbsp;A strong participation level and/or interest in various action sports, street culture, music and/or art.nbsp; nbsp;nbsp; nbsp;An independent thinker and ability to contribute in an independent environment. nbsp; Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements: nbsp;nbsp; nbsp;Travel by air and overnight, as required 10% amount of time. nbsp;nbsp; nbsp;Lifting and/or bending 10 pounds amount of weight.
