This dynamic role will directly support paid media, social, and public relations efforts providing a well-rounded view of marketing communications. This role will support editorial requests for product fulfillments, interface with agency contacts, support social media with research, audits and posts, and manage purchase orders and invoices. Additionally, the Media and Public Relations Intern will gain exposure and business understanding through ongoing integration into large-scale projects (campaigns, events, etc.). Key Responsibilities: * Field media requests, assess opportunities, assist with preparation as needed including fulfilling all relevant product requests. This includes being well versed in Timberland product lines, managing and tracking full-cycle product sample and seeding from inventory to delivery. 40% of time involved and relative importance 4-High * Exercise attention-to-detail and communication skills when preparing documentation related to media efforts (traffic documents, creative trackers, key dates, social media audits, internal media updates, and agency communications/briefings). 30% of time involved and relative importance 4-High * Support both teams with regular foundational finance tasks (i.e. opening Purchase Orders, receiving invoices, etc.). System specific to VF Corporation so prior knowledge in financial system is not needed, but accuracy and fastidiousness will be necessary. 15% of time involved and relative importance 4-High * Willingness to complete all levels of tasks. Administrative tasks (shipments, organization, scheduling, project trackers, etc.) are part of the role but are fundamental to our roles within the company. 15% of time involved and relative importance 4-High Job Requirements: * 0-2 years of direct experience. This can be direct experience in marketing, communications or comparative roles that demonstrate your capabilities. Experience in a professional, fast-paced setting is a plus. * Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business and Social Media majors desired * Organized, driven, and passionate aspiring Marketing/Communications professional who is efficient and can prioritize in a fast-paced environment * Ability to prioritize multiple work tasks and requests. Equally important to communicate when unsure of prioritization. * Strong familiarity with Social Media and its applications for a brand; you must be familiar with the platforms of Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, and YouTube * Be a collaborative team member for internal and external communications.
