    SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE:

    This position is responsible for moving ordered parts and products from the Central Warehouse to various store locations on a regular schedule. Non-scheduled deliveries are also possible according to store needs. This position is a key contact point between the Central Warehouse and stores and is accountable for safe, punctual, accurate deliveries, invoice accuracy, and providing excellent, courteous service in a precise but friendly manner.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Position may include additional functions not listed.)

    Check routing information to ensure that parts are bundled properly and accurately for delivery.

    Maintains delivery schedules and communicates to report any variance, to store or warehouse manager.

    Follow all warehouse and driving safety rules, especially related to hazardous materials.

    Provide courteous, efficient, and professional delivery; maintain good relations with stores and employees.

    Handle core/part returns appropriately.

    Assist with dock staging so parts/pallets are organized and ready to load.

    Load truck efficiently, quickly and safely for quick off-loading.

    Provides timely, secure and accurate pickup of intercompany mail and product returns between stores and the corporate office.

    Report all overages/shortages/damaged merchandise or incorrectly prepared pallets.

    Strive to improve technical, route, store and product knowledge.

    Perform other assignments and duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS: (Required knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, etc.)

    Valid Driver’s License required. Motor Vehicle Record must meet driving requirements set by Dyna Parts.

    Must be able to pass DOT physical.

    High school diploma, or equivalent, preferred.

    Capable of recognizing and distinguishing letters and numbers (both visually and aurally) and remembering their sequence.

    Excellent attention to detail and accuracy as well as ability to multi-task and is self-motivated.

    PHYSICAL & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

    Capable of loading, driving and unloading a freight delivery vehicle used to transport parts and accessories to store premises.

    Capable of lifting and moving merchandise of up to 80 pounds.

    Ability to move engine blocks, core barrels, and other heavy equipment using moving aids designed to move such items, including hand trucks, barrel dollies, hydraulic lifts, etc.

    Ability to bend or stoop to floor-level shelves and be able to reach upper shelves (eight feet) with use of stool or ladder when necessary.

    Must be able to drive, sit, stand, and walk for entire work shift.
