    THE POSITION

    The Wholesale Account Representative role is an internal administrative and sales role and is focused on growing the wholesale sales of our partners’ products to small retailer and foodservice businesses.

    In addition to account setups and sales, this role also includes helping the Marketing Directors develop marketing strategies to reach these customers and providing detailed analysis and customized reports as needed. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is proactive and has a great attention to detail.

    This candidate must be able to work well under pressure and operate largely unsupervised. They should also enjoy performing inside sales while being in an environment where they can learn & develop their skills, while simultaneously contribute to the company’s growth and overall success.

    This position reports to a Marketing Director with daily interaction with Customer Service and the Purchasing team.

    Specifically, the Wholesale Account Representative is responsible for the following:

    Account Management (35%)

    • Process new requests for accounts, review for valid credentials, and screen further as needed.
    • Create new accounts and provide login credentials to approved customers.
    • Notify rejected accounts; follow up with pending accounts as needed.
    • Maintain an accurate CRM. Provide CRM/account details to partners as needed.

    Sales (30%)

    • Process new wholesale orders (phone, email, fax). Coordinate with Purchasing and Marketing teams as needed to process bulk, or special orders.
    • Manage wholesale orders in the order system to ensure timely processing – verify addresses are correct, out of stock items are removed or customers notified of delays, call and email customers directly with any issues.
    • Field inbound customer inquiries (phone and email). This includes inquiries related to order errors, general questions about wholesale ordering, and more.
    • Outbound calls to pursue new sales leads and cold call prospective accounts. Establishing a follow up schedule and plan of action for closing these leads as needed.
    • Working closely with partners to follow-up on sales leads from trade shows, email inquiries, and various other outlets.
    • Communication with existing wholesale customers to maintain relationships and build the business.
    • Provide recommendations to improve sales based on your customer interactions.

    Reporting (15%)

    • Run weekly and monthly sales reports, to better understand the business, across all stores. This should include product sales (to ensure healthy margins), shipping rates, total revenue, response to marketing newsletters, and more.
    • Provide detailed monthly sales/customer reports to partners as needed. This may range from basic summary reports to detailed customer reports to broker sales reports, and more.

    Marketing (15%)

    • Provide input to weekly updates on same stores sales for 3-month forecasting predictions, to be reviewed in comparison to fiscal budget projections.
    • Assist Marketing Directors in their creating a fiscal year budget (April-March) for all wholesale stores.
    • Communicate all new items to the customers both on the phone and through newsletters.
    • Stay abreast of bestselling items by brand so you can better service your customer base.

    Accounting (5%)

    • Assist Finance Team with billing on wholesale co-funds, allowances, promotions, etc.
    • Assist Finance Team with invoicing, invoice processing, past due collections, and more.

    Within the first twelve months, the Wholesale Account Representative will have accomplished the following:

    • Established high wholesale customer satisfaction levels through personal performance and by ensuring that WorldPantry provides an exceptional customer experience.
    • Established high wholesale customer satisfaction levels from our Partners by providing exceptional service to Partners.
    • Grown wholesale revenue 20-25% versus prior year.
    • Worked with other team members to help increase participation from our current or prospective partners in our wholesale program.
    • Is highly regarded by WorldPantry co-workers and partners and is viewed

    • B.S. or B.A.
