Position responsibilities
Provide guidance to account teams as needed, including matters relating to cash on account, aged receivables, carrier payment processing, and general account reconciliation
Manage/process all emails received in Mountain West non-Bulk Bill accounting box
Provide technical and procedural instruction to new Account Administrators on Nexsure - Accounting View
Communicate issues to Leadership, Account Teams, KC accounting team, and Carriers and facilitate quick resolution
Maintain adequate comments and ensure proper follow-up for completion of surplus lines backlog report to avoid aging items.
Develop ad-hoc (cube) revenue reports to meet specific business requirements
Manage Mountain West Series write off report and processing
Generate internal fee allocation transactions (invoicing)
Facilitate monthly vendor payment processing for Lexis Nexis, Capgemini, NCCI, Resource Pro, Yardi, and Costar
Create invoices for Fiserv and upload to client's payment management system (Ariba)
Create, manage, process and follow-up on monthly reports for aged receivables, commission deletions, department service revenue, Seattle production, producers aged receivables, and reverse/rebills
Ensure proper filing of client/carrier/internal correspondence, policy documents, etc. in document management system per P&C guidelines
Facilitate monthly vendor payment processing
Advocate and support best practices based on understanding of client/team needs
Attend position related classes/seminars as required
Demonstrate Lockton culture with new associates
Make a positive contribution to customer satisfaction and constantly strive to improve service to the customer
Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures, proactively protecting the confidentiality of client and company information
Perform other work-related duties as assigned
Position qualifications
GED/High School Diploma required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred
General understanding of commercial property and casualty coverages, and carrier accounting preferred
Company or agency experience in commercial insurance services desired
Must be able to work independently, efficiently, and effectively with limited supervision
Proven ability to analyze work, identify problems (e.g., errors, inconsistencies), proactively take appropriate action, and follow through to ensure resolution
Must have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, project team members, and associates at all levels of responsibility, representing Lockton in the highest professional manner
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.
High aptitude for accuracy in mathematical calculations
Strong attention to detail, analytical and critical thinking skills, and strong documentation skills required
Must be approachable and have demonstrated leadership abilities
Understands industry trends and governmental regulations
Readiness to expand knowledge and effectiveness in the insurance industry by successful completion of extended insurance education beyond continuing education requirements as needed
Organizational and time management skills to prioritize workload and meet time sensitive deadlines. Must be able to work under pressure and time constraints. Must be results-oriented with the ability to change priorities as needed.
