SUMMARY:

Lockton Affinity, in Overland Park, KS is seeking candidates for the Summer 2024 Sales Internship. Our Sales Interns will work closely with all roles within the Sales team to support the daily administrative tasks of the Sales team. This 8-week internship will start on June 3rd, 2024, and end on July 26th, 2024.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Interacts with internal and external clients, exemplifying genuine hospitality and service.
• Gather information by phone from potential affinity group prospects.
• Help maintain accurate data and gather new client data such as contact info, expiration dates, etc.
• Communicate with Business Consultants regarding potential clients interested in quotes.
• Assist Business Consultants by obtaining insurance quotes through online carrier websites.
• Assist Business Consultants with applications and client onboarding experience.
• Creates and maintains files of correspondence, records and other materials.
• Other duties that may be assigned to meet business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Ability to attend company, department and team meetings as required.
• Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures, proactively protecting confidentiality of client and company information.
• Exceptional PC operating systems skills are required.
• Thorough knowledge of the following applications:
  • Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Basic WordPress knowledge a plus
• High personal accountability and a willingness to do whatever is needed to get the job done.
• Ability to represent Lockton Affinity in a professional manner at all times.
• Excellent time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills, handles work with efficiency.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
• Comfortable having work critiqued and open to suggestions for improvement.
• Demonstrates initiative, self-reliance and a positive attitude.
• Highly attentive to detail with strong proofreading skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with designers, developers, copywriters, production teams and Program Executives.
