OVERVIEW:
At DICK’S Sporting Goods, interns have the opportunity to work with and learn from the leaders of a growing Fortune 400 company. DICK’S Sporting Goods is returning to campus this year; to recruit, train and develop top collegiate talent into well-rounded retail analytics teammates.
During the 11-week summer experience, interns will take on meaningful work assignments and make tangible contributions to the organization’s success. This structured and well-organized program provides on-the-job training, classroom instruction, cross-functional departmental exposure and an end-of-program project presentation.
The Retail Analytics Internship will give you the opportunity to work in one of many data-driven roles at the corporate level. These areas include but are not limited to eCommerce, Marketing, & Finance. Placement will be determined based on candidate skillset and business need. After the internship, candidates will be reviewed for full-time opportunities in one of our development programs.
Potential Areas of Placement:
Web Analytics:
You will experience a diversity of work as you analyze a broad array of eCommerce data to drive business-altering recommendations. Learn the basic responsibilities of the job, working with your manager to explore and manipulate the core eCommerce data. You will be introduced to a variety of on and off-site analytics data spanning such topics as visitor tracking, navigation analysis, product performance, traffic segmentation, digital marketing, search optimization, voice of customer, e-mail, social, and omni-channel data. This data set will assist you in making informed, insightful decisions as you partner with the business owners to identify needs and leverage business intelligence.
Marketing Analytics:
As a Marketing Analyst Intern, you will conduct analysis that generates insights, enabling the creation and execution of actions that drive increased revenues and margins for DICK’S Sporting Goods. You will analyze targeted customer populations and promotion selection for direct marketing campaigns (email, mail, etc.).
Financial Planning & Analysis:
You will spend the summer as a Financial Analyst working on projects to support key business initiatives by preparing the appropriate analysis and presenting the results to senior management, preparing competitor benchmarking and analysis, ad hoc analysis and reporting on current business trends

Interns will be evaluated for full-time opportunities in one of our development programs. Qualified interns will be placed into a full-time, development rotational program.
