    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Analysis and optimization of translating NBA player health policies, programs, and operations to affiliate leagues and properties (WNBA, G League, NBA 2K, Basketball Africa League, Jr. NBA, and NBA Academies). Assistance in key Player Health research projects (possibly related to concussion, cardiac, and sports injury). Assistance in on-site Player Health operations at major NBA events (e.g., Summer League), as needed.

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY:

    The 2023 Player Health Intern will join a team whose impact spans multiple departments, both within and cross the NBA and NBA affiliate leagues and properties (e.g., G League, WNBA, 2K, BAL, Jr. NBA) and will assist several team members by working on various matters related to player health. We are looking for an individual whose contributions will improve productivity, communication, quality and efficiency of departmental operations. We are seeking a person who is ready to roll up their sleeves and help with administrative tasks related to several player health initiatives, which primarily include analysis and optimization of translating NBA player health policies, programs, and operations to affiliate leagues and properties; assistance in key Player Health research projects (potentially related to concussion, cardiac, and sports injury); assistance in on-site Player Health operations, including related to testing, health information and database management, and other discrete projects at major NBA events (e.g., Summer League), as needed.

    REQUIRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

    Strong proficiency in drafting documents/spreadsheets and creating dynamic presentations using Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) required; familiarity with other technical software platforms and systems, database management programs would be an advantage.

    EDUCATION:

    Master of Public Health (MPH) Candidate preferred.
