WNBA Partner Management and Activation Intern

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will service key strategic WNBA marketing partner relationships. This person will focus on the activation and optimization of various marketing partner accounts.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in the fulfillment of WNBA partners' full sponsorship portfolios
Build effective working relationships and strong consensus with key NBA and WNBA constituencies including sub-departments within Global Partnerships, Events, Activation, Media, Content, Public Relations, Legal, Licensing, Social Responsibility, Team Marketing & Business Operations, Player marketing and NBA Entertainment
Manage day-to-day partner activation process, including: activation planning and approvals, promotional development, media planning, financials, advertising creation and approval, event coordination and results tracking which will require collaboration across multiple departments
Develop and leverage strong relationships and build credibility with external marketing partners and their lead agencies
Serve as day-to-day contact on partnership matters ranging from contractual deliverables to activation strategy
Manage budgets, expenses and ticket trackers for marketing partners
Support in identification of areas of opportunity and develop upsell proposals for WNBA partners throughout the season
Become a liaison between the WNBA and Global Partnerships to further develop and service Marketing Partners
REQUIRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
Prior experience supporting internal and external relationships, developing presentations and thinking creatively
Presentation skills, including the ability to lead discussions and interact with senior executives (internally and externally)
Relationship management skills both internally and externally, adapting to various personalities and working styles
Strategic thinker and quick learner
Strong analytical skills
Must be highly motivated, proactive, self-starter with high energy and team spirit
Solid understanding of sponsorship activation including events, media, marketing rights, content, etc.
Ability to forecast issues in projects, troubleshoot and problem solve with internal constituents and external partners
Enjoys fast paced and challenging work environment
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
