    The Sr. CVO Specialist acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for privileging and/or licensing processes to support client, facilities, boards, groups and clinicians. The Sr. CVO Specialist is responsible for validating and reviewing the professional qualifications of a clinician to practice medicine in their field to meet NCQA and LT standards and the client’s business model. This role is accountable for the initial and renewal for credentialing, privileging, reinstatement, and/or update of licensing type services such as DEA and CSR as requested by our clients. The Sr. Specialist will also process files for our clients conducted by the medical authority (MSO at the hospital) or licensing board to determine whether to grant privileges and/or a license to a clinician to engage in specific clinical activity or procedures at a particular facility.

    Process Privileging or Licensing Requests - 90%

    • Processes privileging or licensing files to meet the client’s and/or board’s standards

    • Performs all documentation tasks on a privileging or licensing file

    • Updates database for every file with the most current information

    • Acts as a liaison between the client, clinician, and/or appropriate state board

    • Resolves or appropriately escalates inquiries and concerns

    • Proactively communicates information and updates to Production, CVO partners, and Management

    • Partners with the facility or group to resolve outstanding items to complete the file process

    Specialist SME and Informal Mentor to CVO Specialists - 10%

    • Mentors and assists in training of the team

    • Acts as a role model and go-to associate for CVO Specialists

    • Serves as a resource to the team and assists others with problem solving

    • Serves as SME for, evaluates, and enhances licensing and/or privileging processes

    SECONDARY FUNCTIONS (IF APPLICABLE)

    • May work on special projects or other duties as assigned

    • Serves as back up to the Team Lead

    SUPERVISORY/BUDGETARY/EXTERNAL COMMUNICATION RESPONSIBILITY

    • May communicate with clinicians, clients, and state boards

    QUALIFICATIONS – EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

    • 2+ years of related experience required

    • Typical office environment - sedentary with typing, writing, reading requirements
