The Opportunity

We are seeking to grow our engineering team with the vision to build out a powerful multi-sided marketplace, working with talented engineers to scale the right way. As one of the early members you will have a significant voice in both engineering and the company as a whole.

Technical requirements will span a broad variety of disciplines and interesting challenges will abound with the opportunity to break new ground.

The Role

Building out the initial backend infrastructure of our platform that will power our Unlabel Creator Marketplace (UCM) which will be our B2B platform & unlabel.us our B2C platform. Using Python and Django, and DevOps employing AWS, giving feedback on product development and roadmapping features. As the team grows, roles will become more specialized as appropriate.

You will also have the opportunity to guide the direction for adopting development methodologies, languages, frameworks, and testing tools.

• You're comfortable working remotely & independently, producing high quality code and can communicate effectively with a team
• You've got a proven track record of earning the trust of engineers, product managers, and designers with whom you work
• You enjoy taking products that delight their users and making them better

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong understanding of CS fundamentals in software architecture, data structures, and algorithms.
• Preferably 2 or more years of experience in software development
• Proficiency in Python and at least, one other modern programming language such as Java, PHP, etc...
• Experience working with Unix/Linux environments.
• Experience with web application development
• Proficiency with RESTful API's and best practices
• Understand the complexities of developing and maintaining production software
• A breadth of understanding of database technologies such as (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc...)
• Experience with version control software, preferably Git.
• Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English

Desired Qualifications

• Familiarity or interest in Django, & Django RESTful frameworks such as (tastypie, django rest framework)
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (EC2, RDS, S3, etc)
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies, and continuous integration and delivery.
• Place great value in testing and writing readable, maintainable code
