We’re looking for an awesome social media intern to support the social media strategy of an early stage startup in the family travel space based in New York.
About the role:
Support company founder in developing targeted social media strategy
Monitor, develop and engage audiences on all relevant social media platforms through likes, comments, replies to @ mentions and strategic use of hash tags
Identify trending topics as they arise and react accordingly
Create and manage a social media calendar and ensure that content is properly scheduled on a daily basis
Schedule posts on key social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest
Develop ad-hoc analytics reports overall and during key social events
You haven’t met a social media platform you don’t like and are fluent in the ways of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, and Pinterest
You can identify new opportunities and aren’t afraid to try new things, and you aren’t afraid to fail
You can write sharp and compelling copy for various social platforms, and understand how tone and content can be adapted for different audiences
You understand how to use data to measure success and are familiar with Facebook insights, Twitter analytics, and Google Analytics, amongst others
You’re able to manage your own workload effectively, including quick turnaround requests and longer term projects
You’re a clear communicator, detailed oriented and are comfortable working with virtual teams and reporting into two different managers
Experience in the travel and/or parent/family space is a major plus.
