Instagram and social media are important parts of our user acquisition, user engagement and community building strategy. We’d like you to help us with that.

Your responsibilities would include to:

• Create and post social content for our official Instagram account
• Engage with and grow our social community
• Develop and maintain a social posting calendar
• Identify and build relationships with influencers
• Contribute to development of other user acquisition strategies via social or otherwise

No previous work experience required is. But a passion for music is. Knowing trends, keeping up with music, and having a deep appreciation for music is critical for this position - coming up with fresh music-related content (especially written) is the most important responsibility. It is a good sign if you have a Spotify Premium or Apple Music subscription and even better one if you make/share playlists. Other requirements include:

• Having excellent written communication skills
• Having an eye for design
• Having an entrepreneurial mindset
• Being passionate about Instagram and social media
• Being excited about everything music
• Being open to feedback and work review

This is an unpaid fall internship (approximately 10 hours per week) starting as soon as possible with the opportunity to extend into a paid role. We are based in Santa Monica but are open to remote working - though you would be more than welcome to come to the office.

Wave Music is a live social listening and video app. We work with artists, creators and everyone in between to host live playlists ("waves") and to engage with their audiences in real-time.

With the Wave Music app, users can join or host “waves,” live stream video while hosting, interact with the community, discover “waves” by genre, mood or activity, and comment on friends’ music.

We're a team of four based in Santa Monica with over a decade of experience in product management, design, engineering, and business. With thousands of users on the app, our product is young and growing.
