    ABOUT US

HopHR is a talent matching platform, connecting outstanding Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, and Big Data Experts with top tech companies. Our algorithm and process helps to ensure that every candidate is submitted for their best fit opportunity.

    ABOUT THE ROLE

A Talent Advocate is the guide for candidates as they go through the applying, interviewing, and hiring process. They pay close attention to the trends of the job market to ensure they are current on how to more adequately assist and prepare each of their candidates. They learn about the areas of the job market that job seekers will need to be successful such as the best way to format a resume and guidance on what to expect during phone screens and interviews. They are the support team for the candidates so that they feel comfortable throughout the process and feel confident in their chances of moving forward with the hiring process. Talent Advocates are the first line of contact with our customers (job candidates) so it goes without saying that we expect them as dedicated and informed as founders of the company.

Our next Talent Advocate will should have an overall understanding of all of the available opportunities. This will allow the talent advocate to fully support their candidates by suggesting matching opportunities according to location, background experience, domain knowledge, and technical expertise. You'll be working with a growing number of candidates a month to guide them through the job search process. These candidates are located by our Sourcing team and our technology, and screened by one of HopHR’s Technical Interview Board Member/Technical Recruiter. A Talent Advocate goes above and beyond just wanting someone to get a job, but also wants to help the candidate improve in every area that will make them a marketable asset for their next excellent opportunity.

Talent Advocates do not have the stress of quotas and strict metrics but should be keenly focused on ensuring their candidates enjoy the experience, understand every step of the way, and are effective during their job search. The goal is to match the candidates with a career opportunity that they will love for the long haul. We are not just focused on having a certain number of submissions but seek to have quality and an appropriate match for the candidate and the client. Talent Advocates will need to feel comfortable with being autonomous, being a team player and working in a cross-functional manner, and be self-disciplined enough to manage themselves daily. This is not a role that is micro-managed but the talent advocate should be able to show the results of the work they are doing by having happy, competent, and confident candidates under their purview.

The sky's the limit with this role so we are looking for people who are interested in enhancing their current skills as well as adding new skills to their toolbelt. This will help you to remain relevant and be successful. As a thriving start-up, we truly believe in promoting from within so we are seeking to bring individuals on board who desire to learn, advance and grow with the company as it grows.
