    OUR COMPANY

Changing the world through digital experiences is what Adobe’s all about. We give everyone-from emerging artists to global brands-everything they need to design and deliver exceptional digital experiences! We’re passionate about empowering people to create beautiful and powerful images, videos, and apps, and transform how companies interact with customers across every screen.

We’re on a mission to hire the very best and are committed to creating exceptional employee experiences where everyone is respected and has access to equal opportunity. We realize that new ideas can come from everywhere in the organization, and we know the next big idea could be yours!

    THE OPPORTUNITY:

Are you interested in learning more about the intersection of language, communication, people, and design? The Adobe Design Content Strategy (ADCS) team is seeking an intern to join us in 2023!

ADCS is a centralized group of content design practitioners that spans across all Adobe products. Our content designers work on in-app experiences; we also contribute to Spectrum, our design system, and much more.

We‘re continually evolving our processes to work more effectively with each other and with teammates from design, product, marketing, engineering, and more. In this role, you’ll help us update our content guidelines and standards, and get a ground-level look at how to advocate for and execute on content strategy in a large company with a variety of needs. You’ll have ample opportunity to participate in design reviews and workshops, plus craft content for different audiences and formats.

All 2023 Adobe Interns will be ‘co-located hybrid’, meaning that you will be assigned to an Adobe office location, but in-office schedules will be flexible (2-3 days per week). All interns must live in the same state, country, and within commuting distance of their assigned Adobe office, so they can be on-site as needed. Interns visiting Adobe sites must follow all applicable COVID-19 health and safety protocols.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO:

    • Conduct research to inform your point of view and recommendations

    • Collaborate with other content strategists, as well as people from other teams or departments

    • Design and write content to meet the needs of different audiences

    • Present your work, and give and receive feedback

    • Create frameworks, guidelines, or other resources, such as:

    • A best practice guide for error messages: supplement existing Spectrum guidance with a play-by-play, “fill in the blank” approach that designers can use to draft copy

    • A flow chart for toasts, error screens, and other notification styles: help people determine which style is used when, and what kind of information is required for each

    • A best practice guide for meeting accessibility standards: create a checklist that designers can integrate into their sign-off process

    WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

    Must-haves:

    • An interest in, an affinity for, taking abstract or complex ideas and turning them into useful, usable, inclusive content

    • A systematic, strategic approach to writing and content creation. You don’t just fill an empty box full of words-you help define the box in the first place

    • Outstanding writing and communication skills, and a sharp attention to detail

    • Ability to present and sell your ideas, create coalition, and build support

    • Currently enrolled full time and pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or have equivalent experience) in a related field such as: Writing and rhetoric, Literature, Communications, Information and library sciences, Information architecture, Human-computer interaction (HCI), Content strategy, UX writing, or content design, Linguistics, Strategy and operations

    • Able to participate in a full-time internship between May and September 2023

    Nice-to-haves:

    • An interest in user experience (UX), product design, or content design/content operations

    • Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team

    • Experience with, and a point of view on, digital tools for creativity and expression
