Job Description Summary
Initiates the design, development, execution and implementation of technology research projects. Investigates the feasibility of applying scientific principles and concepts to potential inventions and products. Plans and executes applied research. Maintains extensive knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories, and may contribute to scientific literature and conferences. May participate in development of patent applications. May coordinate interdepartmental activities and research efforts.

Adobe's EPG (Emerging Product Group) led by VP and Fellow Marc Levoy, is seeking a Machine Learning Scientist/Engineer to join us in San Jose, California. You will be a member of the core team that is exploring next-generation product opportunities centered around the concept of a universal software-defined camera empowered by machine learning, computer vision, and computational photography. If successful it will grow to become a technology platform across the Adobe ecosystem, with the opportunity for broad impact. Publication is allowed and encouraged, especially when validated by product impact.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $113,700 -- $211,900 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
