As a Corporate Development Intern, you'll work on live deals alongside associates and senior deal professionals. You'll see how transactions come together from start to finish, from the first look at a target through diligence, approval, and integration planning. It's a fast-paced team, and interns are expected to contribute real work from the first week. Key Responsibilities:

• Researching industries and competitors to identify and assess potential targets that fit IBM's strategic priorities
• Helping prepare presentations and investment memos for IBM's senior leadership
• Building and updating financial models to evaluate acquisition targets, investment returns, and deal structures
• Supporting due diligence by reviewing data room materials, tracking open items, and summarizing findings across legal, finance, tax, and business unit workstreams
• Keeping deal timelines and workstream trackers up to date
