    Your role and responsibilities

    What You'll Do

    • Design and build AI-powered solutions using watsonx Orchestrate, knowledge bases, tools, skills, and MCP servers
    • Develop software using modern programming languages, primarily Python and TypeScript
    • Create AI agents that automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency
    • Build integrations using APIs, cloud services, and enterprise platforms
    • Collaborate with software engineers, architects, and AI practitioners to deliver high-quality solutions
    • Apply software development best practices, including source control, testing, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies
    • Explore emerging AI technologies and evaluate how they can be applied to real-world business challenges
    • Present your work, share ideas, and contribute to technical discussions within the team
    • Learn how software moves from concept through development, deployment, and production support

    Required education

    High School Diploma/GED

    Preferred education

    Bachelor's Degree

    Required technical and professional expertise

    • Experience with software development in Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar technologies
    • Experience using Git or other version control systems
    • Interest in Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, or Agentic AI solutions
    • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, or GCP
    • Experience building applications that interact with APIs
    • Exposure to relational or NoSQL databases
    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines or automation tools
    • Coursework or personal projects involving AI, machine learning, semantic search, vector databases, or intelligent applications

    Preferred technical and professional experience

    • Familiarity with DevOps Tools: Exposure to DevOps tools and practices is beneficial for this role, allowing for smoother collaboration and automation in the software development lifecycle.
    • Knowledge of Front-End Development: Basic understanding of front-end development principles and exposure to front-end development frameworks can be advantageous in designing and delivering comprehensive software solutions.
    • Understanding of L3 Support Engineering: Interest in L3 support engineering and exposure to debugging techniques can be helpful in resolving complex customer-reported issues.

    OTHER RELEVANT JOB DETAILS

    Supplemental 1 employees may be eligible for up to 8 paid holidays, minimum of 56 hours paid sick time and the IBM Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
