In honor of Black History Month, Visa is hosting a very special event with a remarkable Civil Rights Activist who began her activism marching alongside Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Ever Lee Hairston is also a motivational speaker, author, and advocate for disability rights. She is the third of seven children and is a product of the segregated South. She was born and raised on the plantation into a family of sharecroppers. She lived in a small one-bedroom wood cabin with her siblings, parents, and paternal grandparents until graduating from high school. She opened the door for an opportunity to work in New York and pursue her teaching career. But Ms. Hairston had to overcome the obstacles she faced to create her own legacy & achieve greatness.
