Intermex - Automated Real-Time Pricing Model Development
We are excited to offer a 3-month internship focused on developing an automated pricing model for real-time price adjustments. This project aims to optimize revenue and market competitiveness by adjusting prices based on factors such as demand, competition, and geographical locations.
The project is divided into five phases. The first phase, Initiation and Planning (2 weeks), involves understanding requirements, developing a project plan, and collecting initial data. In the second phase, Data Analysis and Model Development (4 weeks), you will clean data, perform exploratory data analysis, engineer features, select machine learning algorithms, and develop the initial pricing model. The third phase, Model Testing and Validation (3 weeks), includes testing the model, evaluating performance, and tuning parameters. The fourth phase, Real-Time Implementation (3 weeks), involves integrating the model with the pricing system, automating data collection, and setting up performance monitoring. The final phase, Documentation and Training (2 weeks), focuses on documenting the project and training staff on the new system.
Deliverables include a project plan, cleaned data and analysis reports, initial and validated pricing models, an integrated pricing system, and comprehensive documentation and training materials.
We are looking for candidates with skills in data analysis, machine learning, statistical modeling, programming (Python/R), and API integration. Proficiency with tools such as Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow) and integration techniques (REST APIs, Webhooks, Streamlit) is essential. You will be supported by a mentor (Director or DevOps) and a team of software engineers, business partners, product managers, and pricing analysts.
