Introduction
IBM Quantum is seeking a motivated Software Developer Intern to join our engineering team. In this role, you will work alongside experienced software developers, researchers, and product teams to help build and enhance software that powers the IBM Quantum platform. As an intern, you will contribute to the development of applications, services, and tools that support quantum computing workloads. You will gain hands-on experience working on real-world engineering challenges while learning modern software development practices in a collaborative and supportive environment. Your role and responsibilities
As a Software Developer Intern, you will contribute to the design, development, testing, and delivery of software that supports the IBM Quantum platform. Working closely with experienced engineers, you will take ownership of assigned tasks and features, delivering production-quality code that contributes to team and project objectives. You will collaborate with developers, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements, participate in technical discussions, and help implement effective solutions. You will be expected to actively engage in the software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, debugging, and documentation. This role provides an opportunity to contribute across multiple areas of the software stack, including backend services, APIs, databases, cloud-native applications, and user-facing applications as needed, while working alongside a team focused on delivering reliable and impactful technology solutions. Success in this role requires a willingness to learn, ask questions, continuously improve and contribute positively to a collaborative engineering culture.

Supplemental 1 employees may be eligible for up to 8 paid holidays, minimum of 56 hours paid sick time and the IBM Employee Stock Purchase Plan. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
