    WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT IN THIS ROLE

    As a Spectrum Intern, you'll be essential to two teams - your respective department and your Intern peer group. Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You'll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions and networking activities, including the Kickoff Conference on June 2, webinars, community service, cross-functional project, and final presentations.

    Internship responsibilities may include

    • The CyberSecurity Analyst will need to have strong communication skills, as the position will be required to actively communicate with a wide range of Charter personnel in various roles, as well as interface directly with Charter Enterprise customers.
    • Proven ability to identify and track audit program requirements, assign the appropriate risk rating and prioritization for remediation based on potential impact to Charter Enterprise customer IT environments.
    • Provide input on more efficient and effective methods for executing controls in a multi-tenant IT environment.
    • Ability to execute control testing plans to monitor that controls continue to operate effectively.
    • Maintain awareness of industry and broader information security risks and how the changing risk profile could impact Charter Enterprise customers.
    • Knowledge and basic understanding of IT systems is required. A solid understanding of OS's, IP networks, database and application functionality is critical. The Security Analyst should be able to participate in technical discussions with IT personnel and to be able to explain Charter Communications technical environments clearly and correctly to audit personnel so that they understand the system functionality being analyzed.
    • Provide input on routine compliance reports to management on program status
    • Proactively adjust reporting based on internal or external security risks, management or customer requirements, or improvements to drive remediation and awareness.

    Required qualifications

    • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Degree
    • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
    • Ability to travel locally to Spectrum Intern development events and activities throughout the program
    • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship

    PowerShell, Python, CyberSecurity, MicroSoft Office suite, Tableau, Tripwire, Splunk
