    • This is a learning-intensive program designed to give you essential business insights and hands-on experience in your field of choice. It's a full-time, 10-week commitment from JUNE 2, 2021 through AUGUST 6, 2021.

    WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT IN THIS ROLE

    As a Spectrum Intern, you'll be essential to two teams - your respective department and your Intern peer group. Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You'll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions and networking activities, including the Kickoff Conference on June 2, webinars, community service, cross-functional project, and final presentations.

    Internship responsibilities may include:

    Data Integrity position is responsible for documenting and maintaining the accuracy of the Spectrum Enterprise network. Actively support all efforts to enhance the quality, consistently, and accuracy for all Network Inventory Management systems to correctly represent the Spectrum Enterprise network. Assist in validating network designs adhere to the standards set forth by Spectrum Enterprise. Work with CLI across multiple platforms such as Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, Rad and Adva. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction.

    Required qualifications

    • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Degree
    • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
    • Ability to travel locally to Spectrum Intern development events and activities throughout the program
    • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Ability to perform duties in a very fast pace environment and ability to learn new technology quickly
    • Ability to read, write and speak the English language
    • Ability to understand complex technical documentation, processes, and problem resolution.
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Basic data networking knowledge (OSI Model, TCP/IP, Optical Transport)
    • Basic knowledge and skill of creating and manipulating reports within Excel or other similar software
    • Basic knowledge in network design, network architecture, protocols and network topology
    • Basic knowledge in using ticketing and software tools to support the current operations.
    • Basic knowledge of basic network devices and basic network appliances
    • Basic scripting skills (python, R, etc.,) is a plus.
    • Basic understanding of optical transmission technologies including SONET, DWDM, CWDM, and EPON services.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
