This is a learning-intensive program designed to give you essential business insights and hands-on experience in your field of choice. It's a full-time, 10-week commitment from JUNE 1, 2022 through AUGUST 5, 2022.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT IN THIS ROLE
As a Spectrum Intern, you'll be essential to two teams - your respective department and your Intern peer group. Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You'll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions and networking activities, including the Kickoff Conference on June 1, webinars, community service, cross-functional project, and final presentations.
Internship responsibilities may include
- The Marketing Communications intern will learn to manage and execute a variety of marketing programs targeted to current Spectrum subscribers as follows:
- Partner with Manager to execute projects such as: re-engineering of process, project planning, and create presentations.
- Contribute to key Marketing Communications activity (such as: planning, editing and proofing).
- Assist with management of department assets such as: Marketing Calendar, organization of project resources, audit key project deliverables, assist Manager with project flow creation.
- Partner with Manager to create / update weekly program report, which includes status updates, managing timelines, and risk management
- Work with Manager on process re-engineering initiatives (e.g., equipment swaps, etc.)
- Assist with management of acquisition mailings
- Opportunity to learn and practice agile techniques
- Assist with proofing and quality reviews
- Create presentations and data inputs/evaluation (e.g., acquisition mails, weekly creative mtgs)
- Ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed
- Assist with special projects that may be assigned
- Learn 1 communication tactic from start to finish such as: email, letter, or SMS.
HERE'S WHAT IT TAKES TO GET STARTED
Required qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Degree
- Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
- Ability to travel locally to Spectrum Intern development events and activities throughout the program
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship
Preferred qualifications
- Interest/background in Marketing, Communications, Business Management or Project Management
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing, in a clear and straightforward manner
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Mature judgment and individual initiative
- Ability to work independently within established timeframes
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
