    WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT IN THIS ROLE

    As a Spectrum Intern, you'll be essential to two teams - your respective department and your Intern peer group. Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You'll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions and networking activities, including the Kickoff Conference on June 1, webinars, community service, cross-functional project, and final presentations.

    Internship responsibilities may include

    Unique role performing research on modeling optimal network postures for gaming console and Internet of Things (IOT) applications. Working on a research team of industry leading network engineers and directed by a Distinguished Engineer, team member will use orchestrated engineering, reverse engineering and data science techniques to perform testing, and collect and analyze network protocol behaviors to developing algorithms for optimizing network performance. Additionally, will gather metrics and report on key performance indicators (KPI) to establish benchmarks for publishing network optimization standards and best practices.

    • Responsibilities:

      • Assist with developing requirements for network and protocol testing

      • Hands-on test environment and network planning and design

      • Test lab equipment installation, cabling and configuration

      • Developing KPIs and performing data analysis and reporting

      • Data analysis and visualization

      • Perform manual and automated testing using prescribed tools and techniques

      • Submit regular status reports and test results documentation to team lead.

    Required qualifications

    • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Degree

    • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program

    • Ability to travel locally to Spectrum Intern development events and activities throughout the program

    • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship

    The pay for this position has a minimum of $20.00. The actual salary offer may be higher as we carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
