WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT IN THIS ROLE
As a Spectrum Intern, you’ll be essential to two teams — your respective department and your Intern peer group. Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You’ll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions and networking activities, including the Kickoff Conference on May 31st, webinars, community service, cross-functional project, and final presentations.
Internship responsibilities may include
The business planning intern will learn a variety of functions including finance, revenue, business planning and analytics within the Community Solutions business planning department.
Coordinate and monitor budgets, re-forecasting, and analysis of operating expenses
Utilize analysis to identify cost savings opportunities
Create ROI analysis & Deal Review
Perform monthly review of financial statements and identify trends.

Required qualifications
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree
Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
Ability to travel locally to Spectrum Intern development events and activities throughout the program
Preferred qualifications
Interest/background in business, finance, accounting, economics or related field
Proficiency with MS office products
Knowledge of general business acumen
Able to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner
Mature judgement and individual initiative
Ability to work independently and within established deadlines
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
