    AT A GLANCE

    • You’re a motivated rising senior with a 3.0 GPA or higher seeking a degree in one of the following areas listed below from an accredited college or university:

      • Software Engineering

      • Computer Engineering

      • Electrical Engineering

      • Computer Science or related field

    • This is a learning-intensive program designed to give you essential business insights and hands-on experience in your field of choice. It’s a full-time, 10-week commitment from May 31, 2023 through August 4, 2023.

    WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT IN THIS ROLE

    As a Spectrum Intern, you’ll be essential to two teams — your respective department and your Intern peer group. Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You’ll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions and networking activities, including the Kickoff Conference on June 2, webinars, community service, cross-functional project, and final presentations.

    INTERNSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE

    • The intern will be exposed to the full software development lifecycle using leading edge cloud technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Helmfile and Amazon Web Services.

    • The intern will be mentored and learn real-world development skills in a dynamic and interactive environment using agile methodologies while coding in Python, Go, Angular, NodeJS, Rust and other languages.

    • The intern should be familiar with at least one programming language, GIT source control, Cloud fundamentals and Linux operating systems.

    • Additional coursework in networking fundamentals would be helpful. Course work in distributed systems would be a plus.

    HERE’S WHAT IT TAKES TO GET STARTED

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Must be enrolled in an accredited College or University with a graduation date of December 2023 or May 2024

    • Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program

    • Ability to travel locally to Spectrum Intern development events and activities throughout the program

    • Python or Java, C

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for Charter Sponsorship

    • Ability to work in a team environment

    • Oral and written skills

    • Organizational skills

    • Problem solving abilities

    • Proficient in Software including Adobe, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word

    • Docker, Container, Kubernetes, Virtualization

    • Frameworks Preferred- Fast API, Vert X, Flask
